Our approach

Founded in 1983 as NUCS-CIS, JCIA obtained its insurance agency registration in 1985. Following changes to its ownership structure, the company was rebranded in 2009, with the new name formally approved at the Annual General Meeting on 14 April 2010. Today, JCIA is Jamaica’s only insurance co-operative, owned by credit union members and other co-operatives.
